According to the statistics of the French industry association, driven by the economic crisis in the first seven months of 2009, the French plastic machinery and raw material sales market shrank by 40%.

Jean Michel Flamein, the president of ACDI, said more funds would be available from the French government this month.

Last year ACDI pioneered initiatives in the plastics industry in France, which included promoting new technologies at the International Philatelic Exhibition in Lyon, launching a series of conferences entitled Orizeons, and holding a technical conference at the University of Saint-Brieux, Rennes.
